The
JYM Model is certainly one of B&G Kaufmann’s
masterpieces, with a performance in sound that equals
its beauty.
The ebony fingerboard is glued onto flamed maple, giving
great definition and subtlety to each solo note or chord
with perfect intonation to the last fret. The well-designed
shape of the body easily gives access to its whole length
of 22 frets.
The
body’s soundboard is made of Sitka spruce,
while the back and sides are flamed maple - a combination
of woods which provides full, warm lows and a sweet
high end, all in perfect tonal balance.

Like
the choice of wood, all other materials used on this
guitar are top quality: an ebony bridge, bone nut and
saddle, inlay work made of white and gold mother-of-pearl
and abalone, as well as gold plated Waverly tuners. Since
each instrument is individually cut, no two are ever
identical.
Not only can you choose the design of the inlay for the rosette and fingerboard,
but also the color and tint for the wood.
