B&G Kaufmann, building and customizing basses and guitars

Oliver Kaufmann combines his passions for the benefit of all musicians.
The wood and the music are transformed through his hands and his experience to create unique instruments, combining shape, physical balance, sound and playing comfort.

Musician at heart: born in Austria, he studied 2 years at the ‘Conservatoire’ and 5 years at the University, which allowed him to experience music in diverse and varied forms.
He soon started repairing Woodwinds, then began maintaining and restoring all kinds of stringed instruments.
Travelling around for years he could see and learn several techniques of building and restoring instruments, refining his concept of properly building Basses and Guitars.
Today he has an international reputation which grew out of his workshop in Guadeloupe.
